Sensei Philoé gets worldwide recognition
SENSEI Philip Philoé of the Roche Caïman Traditional and Combat Ju Jitsu club rubbed shoulders with the best recently in Mauritius and came out with flying colours.

His performance won him acclaim from O-Sensei Alexey Kunin, the highest ranked Ju Jitsu Grandmaster (Soke) in the USA and the second highest-ranked Ju Jitsu Grandmaster in the world outside Japan.
The founder, headmaster and president of the AJJIF – All-Japan Ju Jitsu International Federation, O-Sensei Kunin presented Mr Philoé with an AJJIF certificate and a trophy.
O-Sensei Kunin has been practising and teaching martial arts – Combat Ju Jitsu – for over 33 years. Among his lifetime achievements in martial arts, he has reached the highest level of 10 dan rank in the styles of Combat Ju Jitsu, Combat Karate, Judo, Aiki Jitsu and Fudokan/Shotokan Karate Do, and was also recognised by the Italian Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale.
Sensei Philoé is one of the 25 AJJIF-registered worldwide Godan (5 dan black belt).
Shihan Sorab Mowlabucus of Mauritius, whose visit here in June coincided with the third anniversary of the Traditional and Combat Ju Jitsu club, was also present when Sensei Philoé gave his demonstration.
The ceremony was attended by a good crowd.
Meanwhile, instructor Philoé is calling on all those who would like to learn Ju Jitsu as a self-defence discipline to contact him on 574300.
