Mr. Camille, 80, known familiarly as ‘Ti-Kon’ resided at Mont Buxton. Anthony Camille grew up on La Digue and went to school there before coming to Mahé where he worked for the Roman Caholic Mission. As a young man, he signed up for the British Army and served in North Africa, an experience that he shared with many men of his generation.

Returning to Seychelles he joined the Seychelles Police and devoted the rest of his life to this profession. He rose in the ranks to become, in the 1990s, Commissioner of Police, a post he held for five years.
