Foyer de Nazareth receives security fence

Monseigneur Denis Wiehe accepts the donation from
a representative of ‘Friends of Seychelles’
A security fence around Foyer De Nazareth orphanage erected by the organization Friends of Seychelles, has been completed.
The handover ceremony, which took place on Wednesday at the institution was attended by individuals and organizations who contributed towards that particular cause. Bishop Denis Wiehe, the Head of the Diocese of Port Victoria, under which the orphanage is administered, got the privilege of opening the gate of the new fence.
The project got underway with contributions from people who attended a Charity Gala held on Saturday 11th July 2009 at Eden Island. They included the donors of the prizes for the raffle and auction that took place at the event and individuals who purchased plaques. The plaques are now set in concrete literally on the new gate post at the entrance of ‘Foyer De Nazareth’.
‘Friends of Seychelles’ committee members have also been instrumental in making this project become a reality. The association consists of a group of people who are dedicated to the cause of helping those in need. Its members come from all walks of life and from different countries around the world. It operates as a committee under the patronage of Mrs Lise Church.
