Qatar Airways hostess drowned at Grand Anse
A police report identified Caroline Ewa Smaruj, a cabin crew on board of Qatar Airways, as the victim of a drowning acccident that happened at Grand Anse Mahe. The 26 year old miss Ewa Smaruj had just arrived in Seychelles that morning and was staying at Le Meridien with other crew members.
She had gone swimming with another colleague when she was hit by a huge wave and was swept out by the undertow. Her friend rushed back on shore to get help. But by the time lifeguards from the hotel together with some friends got her out of the water and administered CPR she had already succumbed.
