Seychelles Condemns US Blockade against Cuba

Minister PillayHavana, Oct 17 (Prensa Latina): Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Patrick Georges Pillay, expressed his nation will condemn at the UN General Assembly the US blockade against Cuba.

During a conversation with his Cuban counterpart Minister Felipe Perez Roque, African FM expressed that the position of Seychelles at UN General Assembly is not negotiable.

We are always going to support the Cuban people in their fair struggle against the US blockade, Pillay affirmed, who was on official visit to the big island.

He also stressed the dynamism Cuba has offered by leading Non-Aligned Movement, or NAM since September 2006.

Perez Roque reiterated the position of Cuban government to boost bilateral cooperation and fulfill the agreement of Intergovernmental Commission, which began the 11th session.

Relations between Cuba and Seychelles, strengthened with the brotherhood between its capitals Havana and Victoria last year, will be by 2008 three decades of establishment.
