No CCR Deposit In July 2025: Why?
The Canada Carbon Rebate July 2025 will not be issued as the program was officially discontinued. The CRA confirmed that April 2025 was the final quarter payment. Previously the payments were made in Jan, April, July and Oct per year. If the announcement to discontinue CCR was not made on 15/03/2025 then the CCR July 2025 benefit would have been scheduled to be paid on 15th July 2025. But due to the removal of the federal fuel charge there is no longer any CCR payout for July 2025 or future months.
Final CCR Payment Date 2025
The last CCR benefit payment was made on 22/04/2025. To receive this payment eligible individuals had to:
- Be a Canadian residents and live in one of these provinces:
Newfoundland & Labrador, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, PEI, Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia.
- Be 19 years aged or over or have a spouse/common law partner or be a parent residing with their offspring.
- File the 2024 tax return by 2/04/2025.
- Anyone who missed this filing deadline would not receive their payment on the 22/04/2025 but they would still get the CCR payment after the return is processed.

There will be no new CCR payment in July 2025 as the program has officially ended. But residents who filed their 2024 tax return after 2nd April 2025 may still receive their April 2025 CCR payment at a later date. The CRA requires time to review late filed returns. Although the tax filing deadline was 30th April 2025 most qualified individuals who filed by that date will still receive their April 2025 CCR. It’s important to note that no new CCR benefit will be provided in July 2025. Any deposits made in July will only be for delayed April 2025 CCR payment.
